Biological Clock

Biological Clock, 2024

Mycelium substrate, natural and synthetic pigment, watercolor, quartz clock mechanism, 15” x 15”

A work made with mycelium growth forms and an awareness of time, especially pertaining to my own time, as both a sense of the rhythm to which I move through the world, and as a sense of how much time I have left to live. This clock is the first of an ongoing series that includes collaborating with others to make biological clocks that reflect their own complex relationship to time.
